I would say sorry for not replying sooner, but it’s really your fault that I’ve been too busy. That sub-consul doesn’t half try to talk you to death. The second I requested an introduction, he invited me to dinner, and I haven’t managed to get rid of him until now. I’ve made my escape and am hiding in a toilet cubicle.

Undignified, I know. But it’s the only private space on this ship that doesn’t have my name on the door.

In all fairness to him, the sub-consul makes superb conversation. He could put you to shame. He just… doesn’t stop. At least you shut up every now and then.

I hope the nobility of Rythe aren’t fond of silence.
